Please forgive my total ignorance on the Superbowl. other than being American Football and amazing halftime shows with music acts, I really don’t know much about it, except it’s the time for snacks, sort of like a BBQ but indoors since it’s February, and I saw so many Cheese Dips recipes that I had to try and come up with my own. The Ball Shaped dip idea came from Delish though I went in my own different direction with the toppings and ingredients. Best flavour encounter to me is the Bacon with the Pecans in a savoury context. These last few months I’ve been having Pecans with everything due to the fact they tend to be the highest fat lowest carb nut second only to macadamias, and they are never used enough in davoury contexts, so here they come, along with delicious crumbled bacon and of course, it would’t be the American SuperBowl without Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo sauce right?

NUTRITIONAL VALUES PER ENTIRE RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

300g / 10.6oz Full Fat Soft / Cream Cheese

60g / 2oz Parmesan / Cheddar

60g / 2oz Monterey Jack / Vasterbottensost (ot other high fat hard cheese)

30ml / 2tbsp Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Sauce

Pinch of Garlic Powder

Pinch of Herbs (i used italian mix)

Abundant Pinch of Pink Hymalayan Salt

Pinch of Black Pepper

TOPPINGS

1 slice of cheese (cut in strips)

60g / 2oz pecan nuts

180g / 6oz crispy bacon

TOOLS

Immersion Blender / Chopper (to grate hard cheese / pecans / bacon)

Spatula
