Isopure sells a variety of different products but they’re definitely best known for their low carb and zero carb whey isolates, which are the most popular on the market. Do they stand up to the test? We tried their low carb Dutch Chocolate to see what it had to offer.

** Ingredients **

Whey protein isolate, cocoa, vitamin and mineral blend, soy lecithin, l-glutamine, xanthan gum, natural and artificial flavor, sucralose (a.k.a. Splenda®)

** Benefits & Effectiveness **

Provided you don’t have allergies to milk or soy, this can benefit anyone looking to add protein to their diet without adding too many carbs or too much fat. With 4.4 calories per gram of protein this is extremely high in protein per calorie and it’s lactose free, which will be good news for some consumers.

What really sets it apart from its competitors, though, is the huge array of added vitamins and minerals it contains. Very few products offer this much protein with this many vitamins and minerals and especially given the fact that most people are deficient in magnesium and Vitamin K, this could really help round out your diet.

Note that it contains soy and artificial colors and sweeteners, which some people try to steer clear of.

IS CASEIN REALLY BETTER THAN WHEY? OUR VIDEO:

** Price **

You’re looking at about about $34-46 for a 3-pound tub, so it’s roughly a dollar per scoop or 4 cents per gram of protein. Considering this is a whey isolate and it has all those vitamins and minerals, this is very reasonably priced.
