Dr. Berg talks about alcohol and if you can drink on a ketogenic diet plan and intermittent fasting. Yes, there are alcoholic drinks that are low carb and zero carbs, but the alcohol itself is a solvent to the liver, which acts as a poison (toxin) destroying liver and brain cells, eventually causing a fatty liver, inflammation, fibrosis and scar tissue (cirrhosis). It will dehydrate you and deplete B-vitamins and bump you out of fat burning for a few days, BUT…other than that, it’s totally fine.
